Designed and manufactured in Kuhn Rikon, Switzerland, the Kuhn Rikon Duromatic Inox Pressure Cooker long handle pairs timeless stainless steel styling with a practical long handle and assist handle for confident lifting. Built for everyday cooking, it brings ingredients up to pressure quickly and offers three ways to release pressure when cooking is complete.

Made from 18/10 stainless steel with a solid aluminium Superthermic sandwich base, it is suitable for all heat sources, including induction. A spring-loaded precision valve, integrated lid locking and three safety release systems form part of its five safety features. A trivet is included, with other accessories readily available.

Use and care

  • Follow the detailed instructions supplied with the pressure cooker
  • Handwash and dry after use; handwashing is recommended using warm water and washing-up liquid
  • For a more intensive clean, limescale or discolouration, use Swiss Cleaner; limescale can also be removed with vinegar or lemon juice
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or scourers and do not use sharp objects to remove stuck food
  • Keep the pressure indicator clean
  • Do not exceed maximum capacity: half full for pulses, rice and fruit; two-thirds full for stock, soup, meat and vegetables

Choosing the right shape of pressure cooker

  • If you want to cook soup or joints of meat and poultry in your pressure cooker be sure to choose a deep pressure cooker.
  • The shallower pressure cookers are great for casseroles, curries, vegetables and more.

Choosing the pressure cooker with the right handles

  • Side grips – easier to store and can be easier to lift as the weight is evenly distributed.
  • Long handle with a smaller assist handle – gives increased leverage, easier to tip and pour with one hand.
