Liqui Moly 5168 Pro-Line Intake System Cleaner Diesel EGR Cleaner 400ml

With a 400ml can and a spray-probe application method, Liqui Moly Pro-Line Intake System Cleaner Diesel is formulated for cleaning the intake manifold and intake valves on diesel engines. The active solvent and additive combination loosens and removes contamination in the diesel intake and throttle valve area, including oil, resin and soot.

Suitable for preventive use during inspection, it supports the operability of moving parts in the intake system and is suitable for diesel particulate filters. Cleaning is possible without dismantling, with short spray intervals applied into the intake system while the engine is running.

How to use

• Create access to the intake system positioned downstream of the air flow meter, turbocharger or charge air cooler, where possible directly in front of the intake manifold
• Start the engine to begin cleaning
• If the engine cannot maintain the speed with the intake pipe removed or cannot be started, disconnect the plug from the air flow meter with the ignition switched off
• After cleaning in this case, delete the stored fault from the engine control unit using a suitable diagnostic device and teach in the air flow meter again if necessary
• Spray into the intake system via the spray probe in short intervals of 2–3 seconds at min. 2,000 revolutions
• Move the probe back and forth during application to clean the entire intake tract
• If stubborn deposits remain in the intake manifold or on the intake valves, cleaning can be repeated with a second can
• After use, allow the engine to run for about 20 seconds at min. 2,000 revolutions to burn any residues remaining in the intake system

Safety information

• Only suitable for use in diesel engines
• If a speed increase of more than 1,000 revolutions occurs during application, stop the spraying process immediately
• Make sure that the Diesel Intake System Cleaner does not come into contact with the air flow meter or with painted components
• Do not remove the spray head from the can again after assembly
