Louis Latour Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 2020

From Louis Latour, the Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 2020 is a bold, rich and ripe white wine, balancing restrained power with a poised, elegant character. Peach leads on the nose, followed by buttery almond and juicy pear flavours. Aromas of honeysuckle, toasted almonds and white-fleshed fruit add further depth, creating a finish that feels considered and refined.

Chassagne-Montrachet sits to the south of Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune and is recognised as one of Burgundy’s greatest white wine appellations. Producing wines across the range from village level through to Grand Cru, the appellation takes its name from Latin roots linked to oak. In 1879, the village adopted the name of its most famous Grand Cru, Montrachet, replacing its former name, Chassagne-le-Haut. Today, the village appellation covers just over half of Chassagne-Montrachet.
