Love Frankie Handmade Velvet Lampshade with Gold Lining in Dust

The brainchild of Johanna Franks, Creative Director at Love Frankie. With her love for all things leopard and fantastical foliage we are pleased to introduce our first fabric and wallpaper collection – DEADLY NIGHT SHADE.

Our handmade velvet drum lampshade in Dust brings a ghostly, twilight magic to the collection with its cloudy grey backdrop lit only by the light of the moon. Captured at dusk our fearless feline weaves in between the shadows. The ambience is calm, eerie and almost supernatural.

Our big cat Panther is joined by swooping owls ready to catch their prey. Nocturnal hunters work in solidarity through this weaving jungle.

Our statement collection of Gold Lined Velvet Drum lampshades are made to order and available in 8 sizes. Paired with our best selling gold foil lining, the Deadly Night Shade velvet collection is a match made in heaven.

Soft, tactile, sumptuous velvets paired with opulent gold lining giving a warm, ambient glow when the shade is illuminated.

Fittings:

Our lampshades are made using industry standard lampshade ring sets, suitable for use on all UK and EU standard lamps and flex and fitting sets. We provide a reducing ring in the central ring fitting allowing you to convert the lampshade from an 39mm / ES27 fitting (EU) to a 29mm / Smaller Bayonet Fitting (UK).

Our lampshades will not fit on a lamp with an American style harp or a lamp which requires a lampshade carrier. These can be ordered on request so please do not hesitate to get in touch with your requirements.

The bulb holder component in the centre of the lampshade sits 4cm up from the bottom of a lampshade for a lamp, or 4cm down from the top of a ceiling pendant lampshade. If you have an arc floor lamp you will need to order your lampshade for a ceiling pendant meaning the fittings will be at the top of the lampshade.

Metallic Shades:

Three layers of materials are used to make our Metallic lined shades; the foil lining, the pvc, then your chosen fabric or wallpaper. This allows the colour on the outside of the shade to stay lovely and rich. Please be aware, that no light permeates through the sides of the shade. The light is directional so will reflect off the copper or gold foil giving you a wonderfully warm ambient glow from the top and bottom of the shade. Therefore, the amount of light from the lampshade will depend on the size of the shade you order, ie: the bigger the shade, the more light you will receive.
