Masseria Borgo dei Trulli Salice Salentino 2021

From Masseria Borgo dei Trulli, Salice Salentino 2021 is a red wine made from 90% Negroamaro and 10% Malvasia Nera. In the glass, it shows a deep violet colour, opening with earthy aromas alongside notes of blackcurrants, vanilla and chocolate. The palate is described as velvety, elegant and complex, finishing with an extremely well-balanced, persistent character that suits unhurried drinking.

The estate is located in the commune of Maruggio, in the province of Taranto, close to the Ionian seaside. Set in the central part of the Salento region, it sits within the prestigious area of Primitivo Manduria DOP. The estate takes its name from traditional dry-stone huts, historically used as field shelters or storehouses by Saracen populations hundreds of years ago.
