Quinta do Conde Quinta Vista Tinto 2020

From Sociedade Agrícola Quinta do Conde, Quinta Vista Tinto 2020 is crafted in Alenquer, north of Lisbon, by a family-owned estate established since the beginning of the 19th century. Grapes grown on clay and limestone soils are destemmed before pressing, then fermented in temperature-controlled vats at 28–30°C.

To optimise extraction of flavour and tannins, the wine is made using a pumping-over technique, drawing juice from the bottom of the vat and returning it over the pulp and skins at the surface. A portion of the wine is then aged for 4–6 months in oak barriques before blending and bottling, adding an extra layer of complexity to the finished red.
