This eight-book collection brings together a selection of warm-hearted and funny adventures starring Mog, the much-loved family cat. Written by Judith Kerr, creator of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Mog the Forgetful Cat, these stories are presented as special anniversary editions celebrating fifty years since Mog first appeared.
Across the set, Mog’s quiet routines are interrupted by unexpected visitors, missing favourites and surprising night-time imaginings. From a first meeting with a baby to an alphabet-themed birthday party, each tale follows Mog as she tries to make sense of the commotion around her, often with supper, sleep and play on her mind.
Mog’s peaceful day is disrupted when a baby comes to visit. While Mrs Thomas insists that Mog loves babies, Mog is not so sure as her usual plans to sleep and play are interrupted.
On the day of Debbie’s birthday party, Mog sets off on an alphabet adventure as everything starts to go wrong. Along the way there are dragons in the dark, a jaguar with a jug of jelly, and even a mad mouse monster.
Mog finds herself in the dark, which is not where she wants to be, and wonders who else might be there. One night her imagination leads her into a twilight adventure filled with fantastical creatures, though all she really wants is her supper.
Bunny is Mog’s favourite toy, but Mrs Thomas says she is going to throw it in the dustbin. Soon after, Bunny and Mog go missing.
One day Mog does not want to eat her supper, it is snowing, and Mr Thomas is cross about taking the rubbish out. Unexpectedly, these events lead to three foxes in Mog’s kitchen.
When the Thomas family go on holiday, Mog is left behind to stay with a Granny. It seems safe enough until Mog meets Tibbles.
While chasing a butterfly, something happens to Mog’s paw and she has to go to the V.E.T. Before anyone can make her better, Mog causes a great ruckus at the vet’s surgery.
When Mog’s garden disappears under an enormous white flappy thing, she is very unhappy and does a bad thing. Inside the white flappy thing, a cat show is taking place, giving Mog the chance to make her family proud.
