For adding contrast and control at the eyepiece, the Optical Vision Lunar and Planetary Filter Set is a practical 1. 25-inch starter set for telescopes using standard internally threaded 1. 25-inch/31. 7mm eyepiece barrels. It includes four glass filters in yellow, red, green and Moon/neutral density, giving a straightforward way to vary brightness and highlight different surface or cloud detail on the Moon and planets.

The neutral density filter is useful for lunar viewing and can also be stacked with other planetary filters to increase density without altering colour balance. It is also suitable when splitting binary star systems. Each filter screws directly onto a compatible eyepiece, making the set easy to use and versatile across a wide range of telescope setups.
