Designed for everyday writing and creative moments, the Paper High Yin Yang Leather Journal is crafted by hand using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods. Each journal is hand-bound and made to accompany you on your travels, whether you’re keeping a diary, building a scrapbook, or recording ideas on the go. The cover is made from leather that is a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned using only natural dyes and protected with natural oils to soften and age over time.

Inside, you’ll find unlined pages of handmade khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), created from recycled cotton salvaged from the Indian garment industry. Made using only unbleached cotton, the paper is acid-free, lightly textured and luxuriously thick, making it a pleasure to write, draw, or paint on. It suits ball-point pens, gel pens, and watercolours, though it is not recommended for fountain pens.

Embossed detailing is created with small handmade tools, ensuring every piece is unique; the pattern around the edge of the cover may vary from the one pictured. Natural creases, bumps and marks are part of the handmade, distressed character, developing further with age. If you would prefer a less distressed finish, a more suitable version can be selected upon request.
