Synopses

Mirror Magic

Maia and her star animal, a fox called Bracken, sense dark magic when Maia’s older sister starts acting strangely. The Star Animals believe something is wrong, and Maia suspects a new pocket mirror may be to blame. The girls must use their Star Magic to put things right.

Wish Trap

Ionie and her star animal, a wildcat called Sorrel, investigate a run of bad luck affecting the local gym team. The Star Friends suspect dark magic is behind it. They must decide whether their Star Magic is strong enough to fight back.

Poison Potion

The Star Friends still do not know who is using woodland plants to make dark magic potions. Maia and her friends wonder if the grumpy new school secretary could be involved. With adults unwilling to go to work and tensions at school, the girls must combine their powers to unmask the potion-maker.

Secret Spell

Lottie and her star animal, a squirrel called Juniper, face a new threat as someone in the village uses dark magic. The Star Friends try to work out who is responsible while everything seems to go wrong. Sita believes a Shade is following her, Lottie worries about her piano exam, and Ionie thinks the others do not want to be her friends.

Dark Tricks

Sita and her star animal, a deer called Willow, must stop dark magic as the Star Friends’ abilities grow stronger. At the same time, the forces working against them intensify. The person using dark magic is taking risks, and the girls must find out who their enemy is and confront them.

Night Shade

After Maia and her friends stop Auntie Mabel from using dark magic in Westcombe, life becomes peaceful for the girls and their Star Animals. However, the calm does not last. They will need all their Star Magic skills to battle a new threat.

Hidden Charm

The Star Friends enjoy the holidays while trying to discover who summoned the Shades that caused chaos in Westcombe. As they investigate, the village becomes strangely quiet, with even the popular café left empty. The girls must work together to solve the mystery before it spirals out of control.

When Westcombe enters the Best Kept Village competition, someone appears to tidy the village overnight. As pets and toys begin to go missing, the Star Friends suspect dark magic is involved. They must use all their skills to solve the latest mystery.
