Tamiya Heinkel He162 A-2 Salamander (1:48 Scale)

Developed in the closing stages of WWII, the Heinkel He162 A-2 “Salamander” is recreated here as a high-quality assembly kit display model from Tamiya. This 1:48 scale model captures the compact jet fighter’s distinctive layout, including its top-mounted BMW003 turbojet, and offers multiple display options for builders who enjoy adding mechanical detail to their finished aircraft.

With a choice of opened or closed engine bay covers, the internal areas can be shown off as part of the completed model. A special dolly is also included to present the engine separately from the aircraft. The canopy can be posed open or closed, and the ejector seat is removable. Supplied with one pilot figure and four marking options, it’s a considered project for adult constructors.
