Synopses

Beyond the Dark Portal

Ner’zhul seizes control of the Horde and reopens the Dark Portal, sending warriors to besiege Nethergarde Keep. Archmage Khadgar and Alliance commander Turalyon lead humanity and its elven and dwarven allies against the invasion, while troubling signs point to a wider plan.

Reports of orcish incursions elsewhere and sightings of black dragons raise new fears. To counter Ner’zhul’s schemes, the Alliance must invade the ruined world of Draenor in an effort to prevent destruction on two worlds.

Stormrage

Centuries after becoming a hero in the War of the Ancients, Malfurion Stormrage seeks a new life with Tyrande Whisperwind, high priestess of the moon goddess. Nightmares begin to spread across the world, seemingly originating in a place sacred to druids.

Unable to uncover the cause, the archdruid casts his astral form into a corrupted mystical realm and becomes lost.

The Shattering

Thrall, shaman and war chief of the Horde, senses a disturbing change. Long ago, the titans imprisoned Azeroth’s destructive elementals within the Elemental Plane, yet many later returned to the world.

Through patience and dedication, shaman have learned to temper the elementals’ influence, but Thrall discovers they no longer heed the shaman’s call.

Dawn of the Aspects

Uncertainty troubles Azeroth’s ancient guardians as they struggle to find a new purpose. Kalecgos, youngest of the former Dragon Aspects, is hit especially hard after losing his great powers and questions how he can still make a difference.

Through a mysterious artefact found near the heart of Northrend, he witnesses an era when proto-dragons ruled the skies and sees the history of the original Aspects: Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malygos, Neltharion and Nozdormu.
