Designed for rigging and lifting assemblies, these DIN1142 wire rope grips provide a practical way to form secure loops in wire rope or create a temporary join when required. This set includes 2 zinc plated grips sized to suit 30mm wire rope, making them suitable for use on board boats in a rigging setup, as well as similar applications on land.

Manufactured from mild steel with a zinc coating for corrosion resistance, each grip is intended for assemblies designed for lifting purposes and should be installed by a qualified person. For best results, grease the threads on the nuts and bolts prior to fitting, keep spacing between grips at least 6 times the diameter of the rope, and ensure correct orientation with the ‘U’ bolt placed on the unloaded end of the rope. Tighten each nut evenly to the recommended torque settings, then re-check after 24 hours, after the first load application, and periodically during service.
