Yeni Rakı - Yeni Seri offers a smooth and distinct flavour, derived from the careful selection of fresh and dried grapes combined with the first harvest of aniseed. Its refined taste comes from using the freshest aniseeds of the season, ensuring every sip delivers the unparalleled pleasure of rakı. With an alcohol content of 45%, Yeni Rakı Yeni Seri was officially launched in 2009 and stands as a testament to the 500-year-old rakı tradition. The rakı production process begins with the fermentation of unfermented grape juice with yeast, followed by distillation to produce ethanol, known as suma, which is used in rakı. This drink pairs perfectly with cold and herby mezzes, enhancing its delicate flavours.

Aniseed, the key ingredient in rakı, plays a crucial role in giving the spirit its distinctive taste. This annual Mediterranean plant, Pimpinella Anisum, is known for its strong cultural and gastronomic significance. It grows up to 1-1. 5 meters and requires abundant sunlight, with its harvest season occurring in July and August. After harvesting, the seeds are separated, dried, and prepared for use in rakı production. The rakı-making process itself is unique, involving the redistillation of suma and sometimes the addition of ethyl alcohol, along with Turkish-grown aniseed. This method, carried out in traditional copper alembics, ensures rakı's one-of-a-kind flavor, setting it apart from other aniseed-flavoured spirits.
