Zensa Nero d'Avola 2023

From Zensa, the Nero d’Avola Appassimento Terre Siciliane IGT 2023 is an organic Sicilian red wine made using the traditional “appassimento” process. In the glass, it shows a vibrant ruby red colour, opening with lush blackberry and cherry aromas.

On the palate, flavours of spicy cinnamon, prunes and wild berries come through in a full-bodied, well-balanced style. Velvety tannins support a satisfying long finish, making it a considered choice for those who enjoy expressive reds with depth and warmth. Established over a decade ago, Zensa Winery is based among the vineyards of Puglia, Italy. The name translates loosely as “without”, reflecting an ethos of minimal intervention in production to let nature take the lead.
