From Bodegas Otto Bestué in Huesca, Bestué Alicia is a white wine built around Chardonnay with a small proportion of Riesling. Bottled at 13% ABV, it is made from fruit harvested from mid to late August, picked at dawn at around 10ºC to preserve freshness.
After destemming, the grapes undergo 10 hours of cold maceration in the press at 8ºC, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on its lees for five months, partly in stainless steel and partly in two new 225-litre French oak barrels. The result is a balanced, persistent style with aromatic intensity, well suited to the table alongside rice dishes, fish, gourmet cuisine and delicate cuts of meat.
Elegant and expressive, with fresh fruit notes of fennel, apple and peach, alongside subtle baked goods and nuts
Volume and freshness, with vibrant acidity and added complexity from the Riesling component
Persistent
Serve with rice dishes, gourmet cuisine, fish and delicate cuts of meat.
