Boschendal Nicolas

From Boschendal, Nicolas is a red wine built as a carefully composed blend, bringing together depth, structure and polish in a style that already drinks beautifully. Its character is defined by vibrant fruit, smooth tannins and notable length, with the balance and elegance to suit a more considered dinner table.

Aromas of red cherries, fresh plums, mulberries and cassis are layered with pencil shavings, dark chocolate and spicy cigar box notes. Those same complex, generous flavours carry through onto the palate, giving the wine a luscious feel and a refined finish. It pairs particularly well with dry-aged steak, slow-cooked lamb shank or roast chicken with jus, and will continue to develop with cellaring for up to 10 years.
