Celestron Focus Motor for SCT & Edge HD

Remote, repeatable focusing brings a welcome level of precision to a telescope setup, and this Celestron Focus Motor is built for Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD and selected RASA optical tubes. It replaces manual adjustment at the focuser knob with electronic control through a compatible Celestron computerised mount hand controller or a computer, making it particularly useful for astroimaging and for observers who want accurate hands-free focus.

Compatibility covers all Celestron SCTs from 6" to 14" in aperture produced since 2006, excluding 5" SCT models, along with all EdgeHD optical tubes, the RASA 8", RASA 36cm and 7" Maksutov-Cassegrain. The motor supports multiple speed rates, automatic GoTo indexed focuser position and backlash compensation. Power can be supplied through a Celestron mount AUX port, through USB2 or USB3 at at least 900mA, or via an external 12V DC source. Tethered port covers protect the connections when not in use.
