For observers who want a wider, flatter view across the field, the Celestron Ultima Edge 18mm Flat Field Eyepiece brings together an 18mm focal length, a 1. 25-inch fitting and an 8-element optical design in a compact aluminium body. Fully multi-coated optics and a 65 apparent field of view give this eyepiece a strong visual presence at the telescope, while the flat-field construction keeps the image sharp from centre to edge.

Comfort and handling are equally well considered. A 20mm eye relief, fold-down rubber eyeguard and moulded rubber grip ring make it easy to use during longer observing sessions, including for eyeglass wearers. The 1. 25-inch mounting barrel is internally threaded for standard 1. 25-inch filters and adaptors, and compatibility with 1. 25-inch star diagonals and focusers makes it a straightforward addition to an existing telescope setup.
