The mirror uses BK7 glass with 58 layers of dielectric coatings and an over 99% reflective surface to maximise light transmission to the eyepiece. A twist-lock eyepiece holder keeps the eyepiece centred for accurate opto-mechanical alignment, and the integrated 1. 25-inch barrel stop helps protect the mirror from long-barrel accessories. Machined black anodised aluminium construction, orange anodised twist-lock rings, and a glare-threaded barrel interior painted flat black complete a carefully finished accessory with diffraction-limited optics.
