Chateau Laroque Saint-émilion grand Cru 2016

From Château Laroque, the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2016 reflects an estate set high above the River Dordogne, close to the village of Saint-Émilion. Described as noble, elegant and charismatic, the property is now the largest in Saint-Émilion, with 150 acres of undivided vineyard. Only 66 acres of the best plots and oldest vines are selected for the production of Château Laroque Grand Cru Classé.

In the glass, this vintage shows a lovely purple colour and a complex, elegant nose with ripe fruit and roasted aromas. The palate opens softly, supported by delicate tannins, before moving into notes of red fruits and a smooth finish. A natural choice alongside grilled red meat, game or cheeses, it suits relaxed dinners as well as more considered occasions.
