From Château Purcari in the Republic of Moldova, Negru de Purcari is a dry red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Saperavi and Rara Neagra. Bottled at 14% ABV, it is matured for 18 months in French oak barriques, giving the wine a layered, structured character that is already ready to enjoy.
This cuvée combines depth and balance with a complex aromatic profile. Serve at 18–20°C and decant 30 minutes before pouring to bring out its full expression. It pairs particularly well with noble ripened cheeses, baked deer roulade filled with figs, and roulade of pheasant with chestnut purée.
A complex and intense bouquet with pronounced fruits, dark plums, black cherries, black currant jam, blackberries, sweet elderberries, fine roasted aroma, vanilla, mild spices, plums, figs, cloves, liquorice and saffron.
Well structured with good depth, ripe tannins, balanced fruits, mild spices, and rich flavours of ripe fresh plums, figs and forest berries wrapped in a refined blend of spices.
Very good length and depth.
Serve at 18–20°C and decant 30 minutes before serving. Best served with noble ripened cheeses, baked deer roulade filled with figs, and roulade of pheasant with chestnut purée.
