From Château Magnol in Haut-Médoc, Bordeaux, this red wine brings together Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in a full-bodied style. At 13.5% ABV, it shows a deep ruby colour in its early stages, with a fruity bouquet shaped by blackcurrant notes from Cabernet Sauvignon and redcurrant hints from Merlot.
The palate is rich and structured, with silky tannins and a persistent spicy finish. With age, more pronounced toasted oak flavours emerge. Crafted with careful grape selection, around three weeks of skin maceration, ageing on the lees in vats with controlled oxygenation, and a further 12 months in French oak barrels, it suits roast or grilled red meats, especially lamb and duck breast, as well as gourmet cheeses.
