Crama Olterra Luturi Cabernet Sauvignon & Negru de Dragasani Red Wine

From Crama Olterra, Luturi Cabernet Sauvignon & Negru de Dragasani is a dry red wine from Oltenia with 14% ABV. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Negru de Dragasani, it brings together two varieties in a balanced, structured style with a deep ruby red colour and a rich, intense profile.

The grapes are harvested at full maturity at the beginning of October, then sorted before maceration and fermentation under controlled temperatures. Malolactic fermentation follows immediately after alcoholic fermentation, and the wine is aged for one year in stainless steel tank before bottling. Serve at 16–18°C alongside red meat dishes or hard cheeses.

Nose

Intense aromas dominated by black fruits, with shades of cherries, blackberries and blueberries

Palate

Rich and intense, with excellent structure, medium to full-bodied, with notes of ripe sour cherries, blackberries and forest fruits. Well balanced, with a smooth mouthfeel and velvety tannins

Serving suggestion

Serve at 16–18°C with red meat dishes such as baked beef, roasted lamb or beef teppanyaki, and with hard cheeses.
