Cramele Recas Implicit Feteasca Neagra Vegan Red Wine

From Cramele Recas in Romania’s Banat region, Implicit Feteasca Neagra is a dry red wine made from Feteasca Neagra. Drawn from 37 hectares of vineyard, it reflects varied soils and exposures, with each parcel micro-vinified and yields carefully controlled to build complexity. The wine is 14.5% ABV.

Ruby red with violet reflections, it opens with aromas of well-ripened black fruits. The palate brings black cherries, blackberries and notes of blueberry jam, supported by an elegant body and imposing structure. After aeration, delicate hints of cedar and dark chocolate emerge. Oak is used with restraint, with 50% new oak and four months of ageing, giving balance to the fruit, alcohol and tannins. Serve at 14–16°C alongside pork fillet with porcini sauce, lamb skewers, grilled game meats or semi-matured cheeses.

Palate

Serving suggestion

Serve at 14–16°C. Pairs well with pork fillet with porcini sauce, Tournedos Rossini, beef burgers, lamb skewers, grilled game meats, papanasi, plum dumplings, Comté and Swiss Gruyère.
