Synopses

The Body Beneath the Willows

Workmen digging at an Anglo-Saxon burial site on the tree-lined banks of Surrey’s River Wey uncover a decaying corpse. Modern dental fillings reveal it is not a Dark Age body, but the condition of the remains makes identification difficult. One possible match is Ozzy Blanchard, a contractor employed by the same water firm, who vanished six months earlier after his company car was found crashed nearby.
