Synopses

Gone

In an instant, the adults disappear, leaving the young to fend for themselves. A mysterious wall surrounds Perdido Beach, trapping everyone inside, while some children develop strange powers. Sam and Astrid try to understand what has happened and to stop Caine and his gang before they turn fifteen and vanish too.

Hunger

Three months after the adults vanished, food has been gone for weeks and starvation is close. Tensions rise between teens with powers and those without, and a tragedy pushes the town towards chaos. In the hills, the Darkness awakens and begins calling, guiding and manipulating some of the teens.

Lies

In a single night, a girl who died is seen among the living and Perdido Beach is set on fire. Sam sees Drake again, despite believing he was defeated along with the Darkness. As the town burns, conflict spreads across the FAYZ, while Orsay and Nerezza preach that death will set everyone free.

Plague

The FAYZ continues to worsen even after the Darkness is foiled again and Drake is contained. Mutants and humans fight for power in the streets of Perdido Beach. Little Pete lies ill, battling in his dreams with a hidden evil that seeks to use his power to bring anarchy and destruction.

Fear

Nearly a year after those over fifteen disappeared, the gaiaphage blots out the sun and plunges the FAYZ into permanent gloom. Divided and dispirited, the survivors face a new threat as darkness closes in. Their greatest enemy becomes the darkness of their own minds.

Light

In the sixth and final instalment, the barrier wall becomes clear as glass and the outside world can see life inside the FAYZ. Within the dome, survival remains a constant battle as the Darkness grows out of sight. The society Sam and Astrid have fought to build is close to being shattered as the end of the FAYZ approaches.
