Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea Elite Chardonnay White Wine

From Domeniul Coroanei Segarcea in Oltenia, this Elite Chardonnay is a dry white wine with a fresh, elegant style and 13% ABV. It offers a smooth, fruity character and a gentle palate, making it an easy-drinking choice for the table.

Fruit for this wine comes from calcareous chernozem soils, with selected parcels yielding 8–10 tonnes per hectare. The grapes are mechanically harvested at night, cooled before pressing, then given 12 hours of skin-contact maceration. Fermentation takes place slowly in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing on fine lees in stainless steel. It pairs well with grilled chicken salad, quattro formaggi, roasted or grilled poultry, white fish, shellfish and soft cheeses.
