Synopses

The Novice (Summoner)

Fletcher is a blacksmith’s apprentice until a chance encounter reveals he can summon demons from another world. Driven from his village for a crime he did not commit, he travels with his demon to Vocans Academy, where the gifted learn the art of summoning. There, he faces demanding lessons as he trains as a battlemage for the Hominum Empire’s war against orcs.

The Battlemage (Summoner)

After the ending of book two, Fletcher and his friends find themselves in the ether. They must attempt a mortally dangerous quest while avoiding capture, evading enemies and facing foes more terrifying than any they have encountered before.

The Inquisition (Summoner)

Fletcher is put on trial for a crime he did not commit and must face the Inquisition, who will decide his future. The process is gruelling, led by those determined to see him suffer. He is also haunted by ghosts from the past that hold clues to his tragic origins.

The Outcast (Summoner)

Arcturus is an orphaned stable boy when he accidentally summons a demon. As Hominum’s first common summoner, he becomes central to a secret the nobility will do anything to keep hidden, as rebellion grows among the masses. He is taken to Vocans Academy, where summoning, spell craft and demonology are taught to the Empire’s noble children.
