Synopses

The Novice

Fletcher is a blacksmith’s apprentice until a chance encounter reveals he can summon demons from another world. Chased from his village for a crime he did not commit, he travels with his demon to Vocans Academy, where summoners are trained. There, he faces gruelling lessons as he is prepared as a battlemage for the Hominum Empire’s war against the orcs.

On trial for a crime he did not commit, Fletcher must face the Inquisition, who will decide his future. The process is gruelling, led by those determined to see him suffer. He is also haunted by ghosts from the past, with clues to his tragic origins.

The Battlemage

Following the cliffhanger at the end of book two, Fletcher and his friends are rejoined in the ether. They must undertake a mortally dangerous quest while avoiding capture by enemies. Along the way, they face foes more terrifying than anything they have yet encountered.
