Synopses

Spider Bones

Tempe is called to examine a newly dead body, only to discover it appears to be an ex-soldier killed in Vietnam in 1968. With questions raised about who is buried in the soldier’s grave, the case takes her into the world of the American military. As she traces connections to the drowned man, she realises some people would rather the past remained hidden.

Flash and Bones

In the run up to the biggest NASCAR race week of the year, Tempe is sent to a landfill site near the Charlotte speedway track in North Carolina. A barrel of hardened asphalt has been found with a human hand protruding. With the press focused on Charlotte, she must try to release and identify the body, while a separate lead involving a long-ago disappearance points towards one of America’s largest fascist organisations.

Tempe, forensic anthropologist to the province of Quebec, is brought in to investigate and discovers the mummified remains of two more babies in the same room. The trail leads to Yellowknife, a diamond-mining town on the edge of the Arctic Circle, where the pursuit of answers uncovers more secrets and more dead bodies.
