Lost Mexican Blanco Agave 70cl

Lost Mexican Blanco Agave is a 70cl mezcal with a story rooted in Cornwall and central Mexico. In early 1825, Stanley Kiernan, the son of a Penzance distiller, set sail from Falmouth with around 60 fellow Cornishmen and 1500 tons of mining machinery, arriving in Mineral del Monte, Mexico, in May 1826 to help resurrect the region’s derelict silver mines.

As the mines returned to work and Cornish traditions took hold, Kiernan fashioned a basic still from damaged mining equipment. With the help of locals and their botanicals, he began to experiment on a windswept hill in central Mexico, creating what is described as the world’s first Cornish-made mezcal. Lost Mexican Blanco Agave draws on that rediscovered recipe, bringing a distinctive heritage to the modern drinks cabinet.
