The Madeline Miller Collection brings together three works set in Ancient Greece: Galatea (hardcover), Circe and The Song of Achilles. Across the set, the stories centre on figures shaped by gods, power and expectation, and on the choices they make when faced with exile, duty and desire.

From a statue granted life by a goddess, to a daughter of Helios discovering witchcraft, to a young prince drawn into the world of Achilles, each book explores a distinct perspective within a mythic landscape. This three-book set is presented as a collection of Madeline Miller’s titles.

Synopses

Galatea [Hardcover]

In Ancient Greece, a marble sculptor’s masterpiece is given life by a goddess. Now his wife, Galatea is expected to embody obedience and humility, but she has desires of her own and longs for independence.

Circe

In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, Circe is born. Scorned and rejected, she grows up between the worlds of gods and mortals, until she discovers a dark power: witchcraft.

When her gift threatens the gods, she is banished to the island of Aiaia, where she develops her craft through spells, strange herbs and the taming of wild beasts.

The Song of Achilles

Set in Greece in the age of heroes, Patroclus, an awkward young prince, is exiled to the court of King Peleus and his son Achilles. Despite their differences, a friendship forms and deepens as they grow into young men skilled in war and medicine, even as Achilles’s mother Thetis disapproves.
