Each journal is hand bound using contemporary and traditional methods, creating a piece made to withstand knocks and bumps as it goes with you.

A buffalo leather cover is tanned using only natural dyes and protected with natural oils, allowing it to soften and age over time. Inside, the journal is filled with plain, unlined khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), handmade from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from the Indian garment industry. The result is an acid-free page with a lightly textured, luxuriously thick finish that feels beautiful to write, draw, or paint on. It’s well suited to ball-point pens, gel pens, and watercolours; fountain pens are not recommended.

Because the materials are natural and the journal is handmade, every piece is unique, with creases, bumps, and marks that develop character with age. If you prefer a less distressed finish, a more suitable version can be selected on request or when personalising.
