The cover is crafted from buffalo leather, a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned using only natural dyes and protected with natural oils so it softens and ages beautifully over time.

Inside, you’ll find plain, unlined pages made from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi). This sustainable paper is handmade from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from waste in the Indian garment industry, creating an acid-free sheet with a lightly textured, luxuriously thick feel that’s a pleasure to write, draw, or paint on. It’s well suited to ball-point pens, gel pens, or watercolours, though it is not recommended for use with fountain pens. As each journal is handmade, every piece is unique, with natural creases, bumps and marks that develop character with age.
