From Paper High, the Indra Chakra Circle journal is a hand-bound leather journal, finished with embossed detailing and stitched semi-precious stones. Each piece is crafted by Fair Trade artisans using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods, creating a distinctive journal designed to travel with you and stand up to everyday knocks and bumps.

The cover leather is a by-product of the meat industry in India, tanned using only natural dyes and protected with natural oils to soften and age over time. As each embossed pattern is created with small handmade tools, the design and stones will vary naturally from journal to journal. Inside, you’ll find unlined pages made from handmade khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), crafted from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from waste in the Indian garment industry. The paper is acid-free, lightly textured and thick, making it well suited to writing, drawing or painting. It works well with ball-point pens, gel pens and watercolours, though it is not recommended for fountain pens.

Each of the seven stones represents a chakra: knowledge (crown), awareness and imagination (third eye), communication (throat), compassion (heart), power and purpose (solar plexus), creativity and emotion (lower abdomen), and survival (root).
