Designed for those who like their stationery with character, the Paper High Key Buffalo Leather Journal is handcrafted using a blend of contemporary and traditional methods. Each journal is hand-bound for durability, with a buffalo leather cover made from a by-product of the meat industry in India and tanned using natural dyes. Finished with natural oils, the leather is made to soften over time and develop a distinctive aged look.

Inside, the pages are made from khadda paper (also known as kaddi or khaddi), a sustainable material handcrafted from recycled, unbleached cotton salvaged from waste in the Indian garment industry. Naturally acid-free, the paper is lightly textured and thick, making it a pleasure for writing, drawing, painting, scrapbooking, or building your own bullet journal. It works well with ball-point pens, gel pens, and watercolours, though it is not recommended for fountain pens. An antique-looking compass key secures the journal, while the dyed, unlined, deckled-edge pages are made to look old. As each piece is handmade, natural creases, bumps and marks are part of its unique finish and will evolve with age.
