Rick Riordan Trials of Apollo Series 5 Books Collection Set brings together five novels from Rick Riordan’s Trials of Apollo series, set in the world of Percy Jackson. The collection follows the god Apollo after he angers Zeus and is cast down from Olympus, forced to live as a regular teenage boy in New York City without his powers.
Across these books, Apollo faces a sequence of trials involving ancient oracles, prophecies to decipher and powerful enemies. Help comes from companions and familiar demigod faces connected to Camp Half-Blood, as Apollo attempts to survive the modern world and find a way to regain Zeus’s favour.
After angering Zeus, Apollo is cast down from Olympus and lands in New York City as a teenage boy. Without his godly powers, he must survive in the modern world while searching for a way to regain Zeus’s favour. With enemies among gods, monsters and mortals, he turns to Camp Half-Blood for help.
Apollo continues his trials on earth, still trapped in the form of a teenage boy. With his companions, he seeks the ancient oracles, as restoring them is the only way to reclaim his place on Mount Olympus. Their search leads to a haunted cave in the American Midwest and a confrontation with a Roman emperor from the evil Triumvirate.
Now an awkward mortal teenager called Lester, Apollo faces a third mission. He must journey through the Labyrinth to free an Oracle who speaks only in puzzles. Along the way, he must also defeat a vicious Roman emperor, without any of his godly powers, relying on help from new friends and old.
Apollo, still living as Lester, continues to face dangerous trials after emerging from the Burning Maze. With Meg, he must confront the remaining Triumvirate, rescue more oracles and decipher prophecies. As Caligula sails to San Francisco to deal with Camp Jupiter, Apollo and his allies race to reach it first.
The final trial begins after the battle for Camp Jupiter ends and New Rome is safe. Apollo survives with help from the Hunters of Artemis, but the war is not over. Apollo and Meg must face the last emperor, Nero, and attempt to destroy him once and for all, as Apollo seeks his godly form again.
