Permatex RTV Silicone Instant Gasket Maker Grey High Temperature Sealant 80ml

For sealing applications exposed to oil, vibration and joint movement, Permatex Supra Grey Gasket Maker provides a sensor-safe, low odour, non-corrosive silicone formulation in an 80ml tube. OEM specified, it is suited to a range of automotive and marine gasket-making tasks where resistance to workshop fluids and intermittent high temperatures is required.

This grey RTV silicone offers outstanding oil resistance and joint movement tolerance. It is eight times more flexible than cork/composite gaskets and three times more oil resistant than conventional silicones. Suitable applications include valve covers, oil pans, transmission pans, intake manifold end seals, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings, cover housing gaskets, differential assemblies to rear axle housings, power dividers and axle shaft flanges.

Specifications

• Temperature range: -54C to 260C intermittent
• Dries in 1 hour
• Fully cures in 24 hours
• Recommended bead size: 1/16" to 1/4" (2 to 6 mm)

Care and maintenance

• Replace the cap after use.
• Clean hands with a dry cloth or Permatex Fast Orange Hand Cleaner.
• Clean tools with nonflammable cleaning fluid.

Safety information

• Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
• For best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent before application.
• Allow more curing time in cold or very dry conditions.
