From Planteray, PXXO 20th Anniversary Barbados Rum is a Barbadian rum bottled at 40% ABV. It begins with the house’s Barbados XO, then undergoes a third maturation in Pedro Ximenez casks after tropical ageing in Barbados and further ageing in Cognac, bringing added depth and softness while retaining its Barbados character.

The style is full and rounded, with layered cask influence that suits a measured pour neat, over a large cube, or in a spirit-forward serve where the rum remains at the centre. Made entirely from old Barbadian rums, it offers a composed, mature profile with a long, cohesive finish.

Tasting notes

Palate

Full and rounded, with coconut, chocolate and pastry cream followed by coffee, raisin and a light citrus lift. Plum, almond, cherry, ginger and sweet spice develop as it opens, alongside a mellow dried-fruit note.
