Sky Watcher Explorer 130 Telescope

For anyone moving beyond the most basic beginner setup, the Sky-Watcher Explorer-130 offers a notably more capable route into practical astronomy. This Newtonian reflector telescope combines a 130mm aperture with a 900mm focal length and f/6.92 focal ratio, giving it the specification of a versatile all-round instrument for observing the Moon, planets and other Solar System targets, while also reaching further into deep-sky subjects such as galaxies and nebulae.

Its EQ2 manual German equatorial mount provides a stable, established platform for the optical tube, paired with an aluminium tripod and accessory tray. Supplied optics deliver magnifications of x36, x72, x90 and x180, and the package includes 10mm and 25mm 1.25-inch eyepieces, a 2x Barlow lens and a red dot finder. With a highest practical power of x260, this model suits beginners who want a telescope with room to grow.
