Celestron Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap 8"

For 8-inch Celestron EdgeHD, RASA and Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tubes produced after 2006, this aluminium dew shield with cover cap adds a precise, rigid fit for field use and storage. It helps reduce dew formation on the Schmidt corrector lens while also limiting stray light entering the optical system, supporting cleaner viewing and astroimaging conditions.

The metal body resists folding, flexing and distortion, while the velvet-lined interior absorbs excess stray light and moisture. Two adjustable clips allow straightforward fitting and removal, and openings at the top and bottom accommodate dovetail rails for a close fit in different setups. A cable management slot at the base keeps front-mounted cables more contained when using Fastar/Hyperstar configurations, RASA setups or Celestron Dew Heater Rings. The included aluminium cover cap helps protect the corrector from dust when the telescope is not in use and also supports dark frame capture for imaging.
