From Frankland River in Western Australia, Swinney Farvie Grenache 2020 is a red wine shaped by a warm vintage and a long, slow ripening season. Matt Swinney planted Grenache in a region cooled by the Albany Doctor wind from the Southern Ocean, with reliable sunshine, ironstone gravel soils, well-drained hilltop sites and established bush vines supporting consistent ripening.

The 2020 vintage brings a richer texture than previous years, while retaining a refined, supple feel and integrated acidity. Fruit for this wine was selected with exceptional precision, with each vine visited three times to identify grapes at optimal ripeness. It is already highly appealing, with the structure to develop further from 2023 to 2033 and beyond.
