Tamiya Yamaha YZF-R1M (1:12 Scale)

Yamaha’s YZF-R1M is recreated here as a 1/12 scale plastic model assembly kit from Tamiya, depicting the 2018 model. Developed as a special version of the YZF-R1, the R1M is presented with styling that recalls Yamaha’s works racer, YZR-M1, and is supported by a range of electronic control devices and a data logger function on the full-size machine.

This kit captures the compact proportions of the bike and includes a precisely modelled 998cc water-cooled 4-cylinder DOHC engine. The front cowl is built up from separate parts for the headlights, position lights and inner cowls, creating a more three-dimensional finish. Synthetic rubber tyres with a realistic tread pattern complete the look, and a stand is included for exhibition.
