Synopses

Angel of Grasmere

July 1940. Tarn is struggling to come to terms with the loss of her brother during the British retreat at Dunkirk. At home in the Lake District, she and her friends search the surrounding hills, watching for signs of a feared Nazi invasion.

Armistice Runner

Lily is finding life difficult as she tries to compete in fell-running races while also facing the worry of her gran’s Alzheimer’s. Her perspective shifts when she discovers her great-great-grandfather’s diaries from the First World War.

D-Day Dog

Jack looks forward to a school trip to the D-Day landing beaches, hoping to learn more about the war heroes he has long admired, including his dad, a Reserve soldier. When his dad is called up and life at home begins to unravel, Jack starts to question what he believes about war.

After the War
