After university, Elise finds herself unhappy with her new flat, first job and a developing relationship. She decides to run 5,000 miles around the coast of Britain, carrying her kit on her back.

Six months later she sets off with no ultra-running experience, unable to read a map and having never pitched a tent alone. Over the 301 days that follow, she develops a fear of farmyard animals, cries on beaches and sees Britain at its most wild and wonderful.
