Ventisquero Vertice 2021

From Ventisquero, the Vértice 2021 is a red wine from the Icon range, made from a near 50/50 blend of Carmenere and Syrah. Deep and succulent in style, it’s shaped by complex layers of fruit and spice, with the balance to enjoy early or to cellar for further ageing.

On the nose, sweet raspberry and strawberry notes come through with clarity. In the glass, it shows an excellent deep colour with a faint ruby rim. Nearly 10 years of ageing contributes to incredibly supple tannins that make the first sip immediately engaging, while a subdued acidity keeps the palate nicely bracing. Soft red fruits follow, joined by a touch of greenness and mint, before a long finish that settles into creamy vanilla.
