Virgin Experience Days Falconry Taster for Two

Few experiences offer such a close introduction to birds of prey. This falconry taster for two brings you face to face with these remarkable hunters, with expert guidance throughout a hands-on session designed to be both informative and memorable.

Over approximately 3 hours, you will learn about the bond between the birds and their handlers, hear more about their behaviour and characteristics, and watch skilled demonstrations. There may also be the chance to handle the birds yourselves, followed by a flying display and opportunities for photographs. A thoughtful choice for bird lovers and anyone curious about falconry, it offers shared time outdoors with a distinctive animal encounter.

What happens on the day

On arrival at the venue, you will be met by one of the expert handlers, who will provide background information about these hunters. As well as learning about their behaviours and characteristics, you may also get the chance to handle the birds yourselves.

You will then be treated to a flying display. There will also be the opportunity to have photos taken of both of you with the birds.

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 12
• Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating parent/guardian
• You should be in reasonable health and have a reasonable level of fitness as some walking may be involved
