From Yalumba, the Y Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a red wine shaped by the producer’s long-standing, family-led approach to winemaking. Since 1985, fifth generation family member Robert Hill-Smith has led Yalumba’s evolution into one of Australia’s most respected fine wine producers.

In the vineyard, Yalumba’s holistic approach is reflected in its Vitis Programme, with a commitment to minimal reliance on pesticides and a focus on environmental improvement. Oak also plays an important role in the winemaking process, supported by Yalumba’s coopering tradition and its control over the quality of oak used to age its wines. Established in 1975, the Yalumba Nursery further underlines this attention to detail through greater control over grafted vine selection.

In the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon is described as very approachable, soft and supple, showing a full depth crimson red colour. Bright, lively aromas of red fruits are complemented by subtle leafy notes.
