Balfour Leslie's Gold NV 75cl — Extra Dry English Sparkling Wine

From Balfour Winery at Hush Heath Estate in Kent, Leslie's Gold NV is an extra dry English sparkling wine made by the traditional method. Named after co-founder Leslie Balfour-Lynn, it was the first release in the Leslie's Collection and offers a rich, rounded style with a creamy texture and bright English acidity.

Chardonnay leads the blend, supported by Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Hand-picked fruit from Kentish vineyards on clay and greensand soils is pressed in separate parcels and aged to build silky depth. Ripe red apple, pear and lemon sherbet sit alongside brioche and red fruit, with a fine, persistent mousse and a balanced finish. Its gentle sweetness makes it well suited to celebrations, as an apéritif, or alongside canapés, afternoon tea, spicy Asian dishes, soft cheeses and fruit-led desserts.
